Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do before getting a tattoo?
Eat! Most tattoo appointments begin in the morning and I've heard from most of my clients that they are not "breakfast" people. Eat anyways. Food is absolutely necessary for having a good tattoo sitting. And bring snacks! Trust us, a happy stomach and good vibes make for a better tattoo experience!
How long does a tattoo take/how much will it cost?
It depends on the design! Small tattoos can take as little as 30 minutes, while intricate pieces might take several hours to several all day sitting. At your consult, I will be able to estimate how long your tattoo will take, give or take a bit depending on how well your body takes ink (it does vary from person to person). If you send me a design over messenger or email with a GOOD description and size estimate, I can give you a estimate of time and cost without a consult.
What are your rates?
General I run 150/hr. Here is the breakdown. Under 2 Hour Tattoo (several small tattoos or any tattoo under two hours - $175/hr, minimum of $100. Over 2 hours but not all day - $150/hr. All Day Session are priced at $775
Do you use numbing cream?
Only if necessary with certain tattoos if it is in a painful location or is very large. I use Bactine during the tattoo if needed. I have to put the linework down first so the skin is open which lets the bactine sink in. After that, the Bactine will help take off the edge during the shading. Occassionally I'll recommend to prenumb your tattoo (if its in a difficult spot). I have several numbing products that i recommend that you can purchase and apply 90 minutes BEFORE your tattoo appointment.
